What is your background and what led you to a career in coaching, and also journalism?
I was a journalist for some years, and have always been drawn to spirituality. Having walked through some personally challenging times, I sought out mentors and healers, and learned a great deal. I then became a life and spiritual coach, hypnotherapist and meditation teacher to help others move into their sweet spot in their lives as well.
What guides you in writing and creating content for Poosh?
I write about topics that interest me and that I work on with clients: self love, conscious relationships, finding purpose, learning to self-soothe, radical acceptance. Essentially subjects that help you move into the solution and heal in practical, tangible ways. I find it’s always about your relationship to yourself.
How do you see a connection between beauty, mindfulness and wellness?
It’s all interconnected. How you nourish and move your body and your beauty routine, as well as your inner life and how you view the World around you creates quality of life. They all are balanced aspects of feeling whole and creating a feeling of contentment.
How do you think sun safety is an important element of health and beauty?
Sun safety is important to me, especially by using daily sunscreen, but it should also be clean. It can be both. I love Emma Lewisham’s products. They’re 100% clean, non-toxic and naturally derived, in 30 SPF. I use her products every day, and it’s easy to do when they’re non greasy and have added skincare benefits, like antioxidants, and no fragrance. I’ve tried many over the years, and her line is hands down my favorite. I also wear hats and even SPF clothing, so I take it all very seriously.
